The Seven Samurai
Being one of the last of the craft breweries, the production amount was set at 2 million liters, which challenged the former bottom line that was the mark of major producers. The largest and newest facility within the craft breweries were built on top of the emphasis laid on the best ingredients. The aim is not to gain market volume, but to promise to the market a super-premium beer that satiate the brewers themselves. The staffs were gathered from leading breweries. Welcoming three able men, the former Asahi Breweries plant manager as the senior managing director, former R&D staff from Suntory, and former brewer from Kirin Brewery Company, together with four staffs from Dover Distilleries Ltd. including a holder of a Ph.D., they make the “Seven Samurai”; an exceptional start for a craft brewery.
